My parents gave me 2001 Acura mdx. I'm 17 and I can't afford to use a car with shitty gas. I go to school and all my money I work for just ends up on gas. I'm tried selling it but people offer way to low and my dad don't accept it. I don't even like suv's. I heard Acura mdx 2001-2 has really bad transmission problem. If I could break it in way thats not noticeable, they would buy me a new car. The one I want. Any tips?
How can I break my 2001 Acura mdx transmission?
Tune Up or bad transmission?
Having a problem with my 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage. It has about 133K Miles. I got it June 2010 and it had about 104K Miles. Lets say I'm at a stop light. At times it will do what I call "cough" then it goes back to idling. At times when I accelerate it goes fine. Sometimes it takes a minute to accelerate in first gear. Then it goes find once it gets to second gear. Or lets say I'm making a turn I hit the gas and its not accelerating or it spuders.
Does it just need a tune up? Maybe it needs some new spark plugs? Or can this be a transmission problem?
Transmission seal leak — suspect mechanic?
I brought my Scion '07 Tc to a transmission repair shop because I was having problems shifting gears in the morning. They asked me to leave the car over night so they could simulate the effect and test problem. They did not observe the problem, and found the clutch to be fine, in terms of drive-ability. By the time I arrived to pick up the car, the mechanic told me they had found a leak and pointed it out to me — a broken transmission seal leak. I asked him if the transmission fluid was low, and he said it was actually over-filled, which seems strange to me. I left car parked for 8 hours afterward, and then notice a lard pool of fluid under the car. What is strange is that my last oil change was 3 months ago, and I don't even know if the transmission fluid was filled then. Wouldn't the fluid have significantly leaked out be now, assuming the leak seal didn't break recently?

Are all Jeep Grand Cherokees manual transmission?
I want one but I am not so sure I can handle manual transmission. I think maybe the 1999 to 2004 versions are still manual but I'm not sure.
How much will it cost to fix my transmission?
I have a 2000 mitsubishi eclipse. The symptoms are when I Am turning a corner and then suddenly press on the gas there is minor hesitation and then there is a medium jolt and then it accelerates. Also when I put it into gear it jerked a bit today. It has been a bit rough going into drive since I got it. Is this really bad and how much will it cost?
