I am 22 years old, have had a full time job for a couple of months now and just started paying back $40,000 in student loans. I live at home for the moment (aka another year or so). I have never owned a car because I have never had the money. But I need a car and honestly have no idea what to look for. I know Honda's are ridiculously reliable. But I would like to spend $10,000 or so on a car and I don't really want more than 60,000 miles.

What do you recommend? I love the look of some of the Nissan's and the Mitsubishi Eclipse is awesome to look at, but I don't know. I would like to know what you all think!

Ok so i bought a mazda rx8 like a week ago, and if was running fine till i changed the air filter. When i try to drive it again the car would only hit 10mph and it rev to 3k and no more!

When i opened the oil cap to feel the pressure it was low.
The car does turn on but u can berly here this vibrant popping little noise in the exhaust.
I was thinking it was misfireing,.

One of my spark plug wires doesnt snap on the plug rite, like if u berly touch it the wire falls out the plug.

On and also how do i read the codes for the check engine light i cant fine the compter plug!

For a v8 I was looking at a chevy truck or a mustang gt. For the 4 cylinders I was thinking of getting a civic si, volkswagen gli, or a audi a4.

Okay so I was waiting to make a left. A quarter mile down the light turned red so no cars were coming so i crept out into the intersection and i blocked 2 lanes so I could get across. As soon as traffic clears in the oncoming lanes im about to make my left turn and out of no where a guy in a mini van speeds infront of me and swerves into oncoming traffic lane rather than stop and let me turn. Then a truck behind him follows suit. The driver of the truck didnt go far enough out and swiped my entire front end. A guy behind me also followed my lead to make a left turn so he was right on my *** for the turn. These people saw our car from a quarter mile away and didnt yield rather they went into an oncoming traffic lane where its marked not to do so. My whole front end is scuffed up you can see from my license plate smearing that he dragged his car across the front end of mine. If I t-boned his car I would have a lot worse damage he just grazed me. Im 99% positive it is his fault, he wasn't driving for the conditions, it was a 25mph zone he could have easily stopped he was speeding. everyone accept those 2 stopped. They're is no excuse I got stuck in no man's land and I didnt move and inch, rather than he be bothered to stop he'd rather illegally drive into the lane I wanted to turn into. And I can easily prove this from the damage on my front end and his side. My license plate got ripped off and left a helpful red color along his car I can easily prove this in a court based upon the the paint damage and the minimal damage caused to my bumper. I have plenty of pictures to back my story up. And Im sure a gas station security camera got it. Ill attach pictures soon.

I need a new car… I was on my way to the gym when, still in my driveway, when my dodge neon crapped out on me. I need a car that is good for families, since I have a two month old daughter. It also has to be good in the snow since I live in Syracuse New york. Any suggestions… I was thinking a 2011 Ford Explorer, Mazda 3i sport, or a jeep grand Cherokee but Im open to anything… Thank you!

2002 Ford Mustang, V6, Base, 3.8L, 150,000miles

Everything I try on this car doesn't work. I've cleaned MAF, throttle body, IAC, EGR, replaced hoses, checked for leaks, replaced alternator, no check engine light, took to an exhaust place said cats were fine, ignition coil readings fine, fuel gauge working fine, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, just done so much to this car. (Yes the check engine light works, was on due to a bad EGR pipe and missing PDFE sensor. I fixed that, light gone.) I have changed spark plugs, wires, and done regular maintenance on it (oil, FUEL FILTER, air filter, etc.).

It jerks and hesitates, stumbles and loses rpm when it's sitting idle in my yard, stopped at a red light, and occasionally when I'm driving it. I had a feeling it was my alternator, so I disconnected the power cord to it. It worked perfectly. I ordered a new one, put it on there, and it's still doing the same thing. Pulley system and serpentine belt have been changed (idler pulley, pulley tensioner).

NO ONE CAN FIGURE THIS OUT! It still jerks, idle changes in sound as it stumbles. Guys at Advanced Auto Parts said the alternator was making a loud whining noise, but it's brand new. It tested fine.

Why is it still jerking/hesitating? RPM dip down, raise right back up. Engine is very strong. Ran seafoam through it, good fuel, fuel injector cleaners… I don't see anything wrong with the electrical wiring coming from the alternator.

Please, just help me. I don't know what else to do. I feel defeated. Heck, I'll even PayPal someone some cash if they find out what the problem is for me. I just can't figure it out!!

I'm getting my first car soon and I found a yellow Volkswagen beetle in really nice condition for a good price but my dad thinks its a bad idea because I would have to take care of the top from this crazy bipolar Memphis weather, is there a lot of work to take care of it or what?is this even a good idea?
